02-12-2024
Welcome to Dutchview Diaries, where we explore the personal stories of the incredible people who make up our team. This series offers an insider's perspective on the diverse experiences and unique journeys that drive Dutchview forward. In this edition, we meet Bhargav RK, Business Analyst/Manager from our team in India.
"My name is Bhargav RK, and I’ve been with Dutchview for over five years, working as a Business Analyst/Manager in India. My journey with Dutchview actually started indirectly, I was working as a QA professional at another company where Dutchview was a client. For three years, I worked closely on Ed Controls, one of Dutchview's key products. After moving on to explore a new opportunity, I eventually rejoined Dutchview in 2019, drawn back by its work-life balance and transparency.
What stood out to me about Dutchview was its focus on maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life, as well as its flat hierarchy. It’s a place where collaboration comes naturally, and everyone’s input is genuinely valued. The work culture at Dutchview feels open and supportive. There’s a strong emphasis on communication and teamwork, which has not only helped me grow professionally but also made my time here really enjoyable.
One of the most special moments for me was my wedding in 2021. It wasn’t just a personal milestone, it became a shared celebration. Some of my colleagues from India attended, but what made it even more memorable was having team members travel all the way from the Netherlands to join in. It was nice to share a part of my culture with them and to see how excited and open they were to experiencing it. It was a beautiful blend of cultures, and knowing that my colleagues cared enough to be part of such an important day is something I will always cherish. Moments like these go beyond work and highlight how close-knit and supportive Dutchview is as a team.
Another one of my favorite memories from my time at Dutchview goes back to the early days of Ed Controls. It was still being developed, and we often worked late into the night and over weekends. Those long hours didn’t feel stressful because we were all in it together, and the teamwork made it fun. More recently, I’ve enjoyed the buffer days we’ve had, they’re a great way to unwind and connect with the team. And of course, I’ll never forget my rejoining interview in 2019, it only took 10 minutes!
Over the years, I’ve learned a lot at Dutchview. Teamwork and collaboration have been key aspects of my role, and I’ve become much better at adapting to different situations. These lessons will definitely stick with me throughout my career. For me, Dutchview has been more than just a workplace, it’s a place where I’ve grown, learned, and built some great memories. I’m grateful to be part of a team that values transparency, collaboration, and making work meaningful."
