Dutchview Diaries: Magda Poniedziałek
12-01-2025
At Dutchview, we pride ourselves on our diverse team and the unique paths that bring our people together. Today, we’re excited to share the inspiring story of Magda, a key member of our Support Team in the Netherlands. Magdalena’s journey at Dutchview began in December 2020, but her story really starts long before that, with a background in psychology and a desire for change.
‘’My move to the Netherlands was driven by personal reasons, love, but it also led to a big change in my professional life. I have a Master's degree in psychology, but when I arrived in the Netherlands, I struggled to find a job that matched my qualifications. I worked at various agencies, but I quickly realised I wanted to try something new. IT had always interested me, but I wasn’t sure if I could make the switch at this stage in my life.
"I had always been curious about IT, but I never thought I could pursue it. I thought I might be too old or that I didn't have the technical skills. But I decided to give it a try."
I was determined to change direction, so I signed up for a software testing course. I hoped it would help me land a beginner-level QA job. However, during my job search, I found a Support position at Dutchview. The role didn’t require prior support experience, so I decided to apply. To my surprise, I was invited for an interview. That moment marked the start of my new career path.
Why Dutchview?
What really stood out to me during my interview process was the respectful and welcoming atmosphere. The interviewers were genuinely interested not only in my skills but in who I was as a person. They took the time to talk about how I could fit into the team and what my future at Dutchview might look like. This personal approach was a refreshing change from other interviews I had experienced, and it made a strong impression on me.
Since joining Dutchview, I’ve continued to experience this respect and equality. The company fosters an open environment where everyone’s voice is heard and valued. The importance of work-life balance is also evident, and the support for hybrid working has made my experience here even better.
A culture of teamwork and collaboration
One of the things I love most about working at Dutchview is the strong team spirit. We face challenges together, and there is a real sense of unity. I especially enjoy the times when the "Support hive mind" comes together. When a customer needs help, the whole team works together to find solutions, share knowledge, and make sure we deliver the best results. It's truly fulfilling to be part of a team where everyone's expertise is valued, and where our collective effort leads to success.

Lessons learned and growing in IT
Since joining Dutchview, I’ve gained more knowledge and skills than I ever expected. This is my first job in IT, and I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed in the beginning, with so much to learn. But over time, I’ve developed a much deeper understanding of the industry and sharpened my skills.
Even though I completed the software testing course and passed the exam, I’ve realized that my true passion lies in the Support team. I feel that in this role, I’m making the biggest impact, and I’m excited to keep growing and improving.
Looking ahead
Looking back on my journey, I’m grateful for the opportunities and support I’ve received at Dutchview. It’s not just a job, it’s a place where I’ve found my professional home and a real sense of community. I’m excited to continue growing in my role and to contribute to the success of the team.
For me, Dutchview is more than just a career, it’s where I’ve found my purpose, and I look forward to continuing this journey for many years to come.’’
